Sally Simms

Sally Simms, 71

Poulsbo resident Sally Dawn Simms died Jan. 6, 2007 in Bremerton. She was 71.

Simms was born to Clifford N. and Amanda T. (Noll) Jensen in Bremerton on Nov. 21, 1935.

She married Robert G. Simms on Aug. 9, 1954 in Keyport.

Simms graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1953 and was the homecoming queen.

She was a devoted homemaker and also worked as a gardener at Kiana Lodge in Suquamish. She was also a co-owner of the Country Road Gift Shop in Lemolo.

Simms enjoyed chopping wood, spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sporting and social events. She was a member of Christ Memorial Church in Poulsbo.

Simms is survived by sons Ronald Simms of Poulsbo and David (Jennifer) Simms of Silverdale; daughters Annie (Bobby) Dano of Poulsbo and Kristie (Rick) Sabado of Poulsbo; sisters Nancy Erstad of Poulsbo and Peggy (David) Stanley of Poulsbo; her mother Amanda Jensen of Poulsbo; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Simms.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Jan. 24, 2007 at Christ Memorial Church in Poulsbo. Burial will be at Poulsbo City Cemetery.
