Roger Jon Dahl, of Poulsbo, died of natural causes on October 8, 2019. He was 79 years old. Roger was born in Port Gamble to Alf and Gladys Dahl. He attended school
at North Kitsap and later received his G.E.D.
He worked as a commercial fisherman in the Bering Sea,
and off the coasts of Washington and Oregon. He was a proud Veteran who served three years in the Army with the 82nd Airborne. In 1994, after thirty-two years, he retired from NUWES (Keyport) where he’d worked as an Ordinance Equipment Mechanic Leader in the Target Shop.
Roger enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, his faithful companion Buoy, fishing, shooting, and attending
Roger was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Bryan. He is survived by his daughters Sonja (David) Larson of Tacoma, Washington, Stephanie Fitzgerald of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Shardon Ellis of North Pole, Alaska as well as three sisters: Karen (Dave) Campbell, Andrea (Phil) Holt, and Brenda (Ron) Hirschi. He leaves behind seven grandchildren; Matthew, Teresa, Anna, Bailey, Nancy, Emily, Nora Jane and five great-grandchildren.
