Robert J. Alexander, 86
Poulsbo resident Robert John Alexander died Feb. 11, 2006 in Poulsbo. He was 86.
Alexander was born to Louis and Clara Alexander in Linden, Idaho on Dec. 21, 1919.
He was married to Joy Alexander for 65 years.
Alexander retired from the United States Air Force after 23 years of service and was a World War II veteran.
He lived in Washington state for 70 years and in Poulsbo for the past eight years.
Alexander was known for wearing his crazy “Bob shirts,” bringing smiles and laughter to many and was a sacrificial giver to his family and country. He was a member of Christ Memorial Church.
He is survived by his wife Joy Alexander of Poulsbo; son Eric Alexander of Poulsbo; daughters Toni McGuire and Wendy Duchemin, both of Poulsbo; sister Faye Michaelis of Lewiston, Idaho; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his son Rick Alexander and brother Clarence Alexander.
Services will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to “The Olympians” at Christ Memorial Church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Kass & Cook Family Funeral Home.
