Robert “Bob” G. Owen, 85, passed away peacefully in Bremerton, Washington on Feb. 16, 2017, with family and his dog Abby by his side.

Bob is survived by his son Doug (Marianne) of Bremerton; his daughter Cindy (Doug) Truex of Bozeman, Montana; his son Robert; his grandchildren Andrew, Emily, Kate (Jeremy), Kirsten, Michael, Courtney and Travis; and his great grandchild Easton.

Over the last several years, Bob was treated for lung cancer. His physician referred to him as the “miracle man” in his response to treatment. Bob has donated his body to the University of Washington Medical School for study. As Bob put it, he will finally get to go to college!

A service will be held for Bob when his college studies are complete.
