Richard W. Martinez, 66
Richard W. Martinez of Kingston died Feb. 1, 2004 in Kingston. He was 66.
Martinez was born to Pedro F. and Florence V. (Justesen) Martinez in Burley, Idaho on June 12, 1937.
He married Joyce Anderson on Jan. 30, 1957 in South Ogden, Utah.
Martinez graduated from high school in Ogden, Utah. He graduated from Weber State College in Ogden, Utah in 1967.
He achieved rank of BT3 during his service in the U.S. Navy from 1954-1958.
Martinez was a contract administrator for the Department of Defense for 32 years. He retired in 1988.
Martinez is survived by his wife Joyce (Anderson) Martinez of Kingston; sons Vincent R. Martinez of Albuquerque, N.M. and Mitch C. Martinez of Las Vegas, N.V.; daughter Jacqueline M. Holeman of Poulsbo; sisters Florence Whitaker of Far West, Utah and Patricia Bedford of Clinton, Utah; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Martinez was preceded in death by brother Pete and sister Adella.
