Priscilla G. Doty

July 4, 1946 - July 29, 2021

Priscilla Gail Doty passed from this world on July 29, 2021, in Mount Vernon, Washington, at the age of 75. Born on July 4, 1946 to Jake and Mary Kroll, longtime residents of Weatherford, Texas, Priscilla graduated from Weatherford High School in 1964. While working at a local CPA firm, she met and married the love of her life, Douglas Doty, in 1978, with whom she lived happily for her remaining forty-three years.

Always up for an adventure, Priscilla moved with her husband and three sons from Texas to Poulsbo, Washington in the mid-1980s. During her time in Poulsbo, Priscilla touched countless lives through her positivity, kindness, and love for all. Working primarily as a homemaker, as well as spending time as an aide at Poulsbo Elementary School, she was a constant source of love and support for her family, friends, and those fortunate enough to meet her.

Another cross-country move in 2001 set Priscilla and Doug on another adventure, this time to Arkansas. Ultimately landing in Conway, AR, she and Doug worked alongside one another to build a successful business that allowed her the opportunity to touch numerous lives in yet another part of the country. Priscilla had a knack for becoming instant friends with anyone she met, and the new connections she made during this time were a constant joy during her remaining years.

After retiring from the business they built, Priscilla and Doug made one more move, back to the Pacific NW, in 2012 to allow them to be closer to their three adult sons. Settling on Camano Island, Priscilla spent her final years in the loving embrace of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her younger brother, Johnny. She is survived by her husband of forty-three years, Douglas; three adult sons, Chris, Ryan, and Dylan; her granddaughter Elly; and dozens of extended family and friends throughout the country, all of whom are eternally grateful to have had Priscilla in their lives.

The family will be holding a private celebration of Priscilla’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to one of Priscilla’s favorite charities: Boys Town, Easter Seals, or St. Jude. Please send your condolences and share memories of Priscilla to her family online at www.kernfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are through Kern Funeral Home, Mount Vernon.
