Norma Lee Coleman

April 29, 1939 - February 18, 2022

Norma Lee Coleman, 82, of Port Orchard, WA, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 following an extended illness. She was born April 29, 1939 in Tulsa, OK to the late Willie and Pauline (Dice) Harris.

She and her husband, the late Rev. Lowell A. Coleman, founded and pastored Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Port Orchard for over 24 years until his passing in 2004. During those years, she was a church organist, and as a lover of gospel music and hymns, sang and led singing in the church. She also taught Kindergarten classes at the church school. She had also attended Bethel Christian Fellowship in Port Orchard.

Norma enjoyed crocheting, shopping, antiquing, and loved her family. She cherished holding the babies as they came along and thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Amongst her earthly accomplishments, she got her Real Estate license, worked as an emergency services dispatcher, and more notably, shot an Elk! She was also known to love clothing and dress classy.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Annette (Marty) Fritz of Port Orchard, WA; fourteen grandchildren, Destiny Kambich of Central Port, OR, Lowell (Katie) Coleman of Chehalis, WA, Chanie (Cody) Moorcroft of Mossy Rock, WA, , Cameron (Skyler) Church of Onalaska, WA, Jeremiah “JD” (Naomee) Johnson of Yelm, WA, Taylor Johnson of Glenoma, WA, Presley Coleman of Glenoma, WA, and a granddaughter in law, Julia Coleman of Morton, WA; Marty (Angela) Fritz Jr. of Seabeck, WA, Desirae (Derrick) Moyer of Port Orchard, WA, Lowell (Kristy) Fritz of Middleton, ID, Candace Coleman of Portland, OR, Dae Anna “Dae Dae “ (Shawn) Murphy of Portland, OR, William “Willy” (Anna) Coleman of Portland, OR, thirty four great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren, and two on-the-way. Also, two sisters, Louise Latham of Stockton, CA and Orpha (Loren) Riffe of Tumwater, WA; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Rev. Lowell A. Coleman in 2004, she was preceded in death by two sons, Norman A. Coleman in 2011, and Wayne Coleman in 2021; a sister, Faye Riffe; a brother, Wayne Harris; and a grandson, Danny “Toad” Coleman.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Weeks’ Dryer Mortuary 220 134th St. S., Tacoma, WA 98444 with Rev. Steve Pinell officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral Weeks’ Dryer. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Coleman Cemetery in Glenoma, WA.
