Mildred C. Serwold | Passings

Aug. 26, 1916 – Jan. 20, 2018

Mildred, 101, of Silverdale, Washington, went to be with the Lord, Jan. 20, 2018. She was born Aug. 26, 1916 in Maysville, Oklahoma to John and

Estella Gray. In 1934, Mildred married Walter Cook and they were blessed with their daughter Sharon in 1942.

In 1953 they moved to Poulsbo. Her husband Walter preceded her in 1978 and her daughter Sharon in 2000. She was employed at Poulsbo Telephone Co. for 26 years and retired in 1981. She married Olaf Serwold in 1983. Her husband Olaf preceded her in 1985. She enjoyed traveling and also loved and cared for animals of all kinds, especially dogs. She enjoyed sports, walking for exercise and socializing with close friends and relatives. She was an honored Valedictorian and during her adult years a member of the Ingeborg Nevill Orthopedic Auxiliary, Friends of the Library and Poulsbo Garden Club.

Mildred will be deeply missed by all those whose lives were touched by her love and compassion. Her spirit and smile will be with us always. She is survived by her son, Roger Serwold (Marcia), grandson, Chris Ferenz (Lisa), granddaughter, Jaki Ferenz (Koen) and many relatives and friends.

Her celebration of life was held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, Feb. 10 at Clearbrook Inn Living Center: 2333 Schold Place NW, Silverdale, WA.
