Matthew Segall

1932 - 2022

Matthew Segall, 89, resident of Bainbridge Island passed away peacefully March of 2022. Born September of 1932 in New York, he is at rest in Los Angeles near his winter home.

Matt grew up in Brooklyn and joined the Navy at 17 during the Korean War. Following his military service, he worked for the Flying Tigers and attended law school at night. After passing the bar exam, he opened his law offices in Hollywood, California where he specialized in criminal law. Matt had a successful career, retired early and traveled extensively around the world.

On his Bainbridge Island home, Matt enjoyed watching the eagles fly by the house. He loved helping at the Rotary Annual Rummage Sale and was always available to help those who he could with legal issues.

Matt is survived by his wife Brenna, his four children, Brenda, Eric (Mercedes), Wendy, and Stefan (Gabriela), granddaughter Gabrielle and sister Charlotte Altman.
