Margaret H. Brooks, 93

Margaret H. Brooks of Silverdale died Feb. 4, 2004 in Silverdale. She was 93.

Brooks was born to Nels and Martha (Evju) Nelson in Central Valley on Dec. 11, 1910.

She married Albert Joseph Brooks on Nov. 11, 1933 in Bremerton.

Brooks graduated from Port Washington Union High School in Silverdale in 1929.

She was a devoted homemaker. She enjoyed playing the piano, gardening and flowers. She was a charter member of the Silverdale Methodist Church.

Brooks is survived by her son John (Ilona) of Livermore, Calif.; daughter Marlene (Michael) of Poulsbo; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Nels and Martha (Evju) Nelson, her husband Albert Joseph Brooks, brothers Herbert and John and sisters Nettie, Agnes, Alice and Evelyn.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 8 at Crista Shores. A private burial will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Hospice of Kitsap County.
