Lois was born in Poulsbo to Nikolai and Gudrun (Iversen) Nelson. She graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1939. She married Marwin (Bud) Holm, June 14, 1941, in Keyport. Bud preceded her death April 16, 2017, they were married 76 years.

She is survivied by their daughter Nancy (Sam) Watland, son Fred (Chris) Holm, grandsons Eric (Jaimie) Watland, Steve (Tiffany) Watland, Jed Holm and granddaughter Emily (Aaron) Bell. Six great grandchildren, Isla, Gage, Kurstin, Eva, Bradley and Brody.

Lois was very active in the Order of Eastern Star. She was a member of Poulsbo Chapter #235 for 78 years. She served as Worthy Matron 1967-1968, Grand Aida, Grand Representative to Maine and California.

Lois was famous with friends and family for her knitting skills, needlework and artistic abilities. She and Bud enjoyed travelling taking several cruises, touring Europe and drives around the USA. They were avid golfers as members of Rolling Hills Golf Club.
