Lillian Harvey

Lillian Elizabeth Harvey died Sept. 28, 2006, in Bremerton. She was 80.

She was born Feb. 18, 1926, in Pocatello, Idaho, to David and Adeline (Nelson) Searle. She graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1944.

Mrs. Harvey married Ewart A. Harvey on Jan. 5, 1957 in Bremerton. The couple was together until his death in 1999.

She was an administrative bookkeeper at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for more than 25 years. She served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve between 1956 and 1962, receiving several awards for rifle marksmanship. Mrs. Harvey was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Rebekha Lodge and Abundant Life Foursquare Church. She enjoyed gardening, knitting and genealogy.

Mrs. Harvey is survived by her sister Maxine Hawkins of Bremerton and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers Eugene and Andrew Searle and her niece Shirley (Searle) McIntire.

A memorial service is planned for a later date. Inurnment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements by Lewis Funeral Chapel.
