Leo Lawrence

Leo Leonard “Sonny” Lawrence Jr. of Suquamish died July 19, 2007. He was 52.

Lawrence was born to Leo Leonard Lawrence and Virginia Adelaide Bullock in Bremerton on July 24, 1954.

He graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1972.

Lawrence worked as a manager for the fishery and hatchery of the Suquamish Tribe.

He enjoyed listening to music, especially blues.

Lawrence is survived by his brothers Michael Lowe of Springfield, Ore., John (Cheryl) Lawrence Sr. of Indianola and Phillip Cameron of Aberdeen; sisters Sandy (Louie) Mabe of Kingston and Denise (Calvin) Williams of Suquamish; his mother Virginia Thomas of Independence, Ore.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his brothers Boone Cameron and Robert Lowe.

Services will be from 4-7 p.m. on July 25 at Kiana Lodge on Sandy Hook Road. A memorial and healing service will be held at 4 p.m. July 26 in downtown Suquamish at the “slab.”
