Lannie “Walt” Waters

Port Orchard resident served in the U.S. Navy as a chief petty officer.

PORT ORCHARD — Lannie “Walt” Ross Walters, 71, of Port Orchard passed away at his home on April 12.

Walt is survived by his beautiful wife of 41 years, Jennifer; daughters Sara Price and Stephanie Phillips; sons-in-law Jeremiah Price and Ryan Phillips; and grandson Luke Ross Price.

Walt was a retired chief petty officer of the U.S. Navy and served in the Vietnam War. He spent 15 years as a firefighter with Puget Sound Naval Shipyard Fire Department and lead instructor at Fremont Maritime Academy.

Walt was remembered as a man who loved his family dearly and spent his better days loving his wife passionately, raising his daughters and celebrating life with family and friends. He will be remembered fondly by family and friends.
