Kelly Gordon Egbert

Kelly Gordon Egbert, 54, of Poulsbo, passed away on December 22, 2018 in Bremerton. He was born on November 28, 1964 in Longview, WA to M. Gordon Egbert II and Bonnie T. (Attridge) Egbert. Kelly was a graduate of Auburn Senior High School ’83 and the DeVry Institute of Technology, 1987 in Phoenix, AZ, earning a degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. Kelly worked at Boeing as an Engineer and earned many individual and group recognition awards including Manufacturing Engineering Employee of the Month (3/1991) and was awarded his 15 year service certificate and worked on projects such as the B-2 and F-22. After a personal hiatus, Kelly flourished as an artist creating many coastal and natural art pieces which now have homes throughout the area and was a co-business owner of Poulsbo based Boutique and Gallery “Lilly and Talbot” for 5 years. Kelly also was an independent multi-talented craftsman. He enjoyed arts and crafts, fishing, shrimping, crabbing, clamming, boating, family and community philanthropy. Kelly was preceded in death by his father, M. Gordon Egbert. He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Egbert of Bonney Lake, WA; partner, Sandra Fleming of Poulsbo, WA; brother, Michael Egbert of Sumner, WA; sister, Laura Kosko of Bonney Lake, WA. Kelly, also known as “Uncle Kookie” and “former Boeing Engineer turned starving artist”, was a beloved family member to all and had a gift of creating a special relationship with everyone. A memorial service will be held on January 12, 2019 at 1pm at Lewis Funeral Chapel, 5303 Kitsap Way, Bremerton, WA 98312.
