Justin Waylon Wentz

May. 18, 1983 – Feb. 24, 2019

Justin Waylon Wentz, age 35, of Walla Walla, WA passed away February 24, 2019 surrounded by his family. Justin’s sudden passing was due to diabetes related complications. Justin suffered a stroke in 2014, from which he had never fully recovered. As a result, he lived a quiet life at home with his mother and his dogs, Choco, Brodie and Bear. Justin had another serious stroke on February 20, 2019 and passed away a few days later.

Justin was born May 18, 1983 in Yakima, WA to his loving mom, Lisa Lee Perlatti of Walla Walla, and his father, Bill Wentz of Yakima. Justin grew up in Walla Walla and attended Sharpstein School and Pioneer Middle School. His family moved to Bainbridge Island in 1995. He attended Woodward Middle School and Bainbridge Island High School.

After moving back to Eastern Washington in 2012, Justin attended Columbia Basin College. He found a job that he loved in Walla Walla at Dusted Valley Winery and was excited pursue his education at Walla Walla Community College.

Justin lived a life filled with friends, fun, new adventures, music and his loving dogs. Justin’s lifelong friends on both Bainbridge Island and in Walla Walla were the center of his life and meant the world to him. He loved the times spent on the water, snowboarding at Whistler or just hanging out. His idea of a perfect day was being in the mountains with friends and his dogs, listening to music.

Justin leaves behind a large and loving family including his mother, Lisa Lee Perlatti, father Bill Wentz, stepfather Deano Perlatti, stepmother Carla Jaeger, grandmother Diane Lee, grandfather William Wentz, stepsister Leilani Perlatti, stepbrother Josh Perlatti, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will be holding a Celebration of Life to honor and remember Justin on June 15, 2019 at 12:00pm. The Celebration will be held at 2940 Waggoner Road, Walla Walla, WA. Further details will be announced via social media and email.
