Joseph W. Adamson

Joseph W. Adamson, 83, of Bremerton died Aug. 8 after a long battle with Parkinson’s.

He will be remembered as a man of deep faith, who had an abiding love of family, and was a constant friend to all who knew him.

Joe was born Aug. 11, 1932, in Danville, Illinois. He married Jeanette Shepard of Springfield, Illinois, on March 21, 1955. Joe served in the U.S. Army for two years at Fort Bliss, Texas.

He was a graduate of Milliken University and chief mechanical engineer for Fiat-Allis in Springfield, where he retired after 32 years. He later accepted a lead engineering position at American Yard Products in Orangeburg, South Carolina, and then at Snapper in Atlanta.

Joe is survived by his wife, Jeanette; daughter Tamela Adamson-McMullen (David); son Robert Joseph Adamson (Wendi); grandson Tanner McMullen; many nieces and nephews; and friends from coast to coast.

The burial service will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 22, at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.
