On Saturday, March 30, 2019, Jennifer Joyce Roof, a loving wife and mother of four “Badgers” (boys) died at the age of 46 following a long and courageous battle with depression.
Jennifer was born May 3, 1972, in Seattle, Wash. She graduated from the University of Washington in 1995, before the superior power of green and yellow pulled her to Eugene, where she excelled at the University of Oregon School of Law and met her husband, Joel.
Throughout her life, Jennifer cared and fought for those less fortunate. She was passionate about her children, the environment, equality and M&Ms.
Jennifer will be remembered as an exceptionally strong and humble woman, a gifted lawyer, a devoted friend, a loving mother and a compassionate and understanding wife. Jennifer is survived by her husband of 18 years, Joel Parker; their four incredible boys, Jackson (15), Aiden (10), Brandon (10) and Calvin (8); her father, Jay; mother Gloria; her brothers, Jason and Marshall; and her sister, Emilee.
