Jeffrey Demick

Jeffrey Demick, 43

Former Poulsbo resident Jeffrey Demick died April 8, 2006 in Caney, Kan. He was 43.

He was born Sept. 29, 1963, in Seattle to William and Judy (Lange) Demick. Demick moved to Bainbridge with his family on July 4, 1971.

He attended Bainbridge High School. Demick worked in various occupations, from carpentry and construction to welding and plumbing.

Most recently, he worked in the local oil fields. He enjoyed playing sports, especially baseball and adult league softball.

Demick is survived by his sons Luke and Dean Demick of Poulsbo; former wife Stacy Demick, of Poulsbo; mother Judy Demick (Glenn Allen) of Bainbridge Island; sister Sandy Glass-Nickell (Scott Nickell) of Bainbridge Island; grandmother Ynez Demick of Allyn; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of his life was held April 18 in Port Gamble.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Progressive Animal Welfare Society, Kitsap County Chapter.
