Iris Hedahl, 86

Poulsbo resident Iris Fay Hedahl died July 24, 2005 in Silverdale. She was 86.

Hedahl was born to Roy D. and Tina Helen (White) Ward in Schofield, Ore. on Oct. 23, 1918.

She married Verne L. Hedahl on Jan. 9, 1949 in Port Orchard.

Hedahl graduated from North Kitsap High School and the University of Washington in Seattle.

She was a homemaker.

She was very accomplished in the arts, especially as a painter.

Hedahl is survived by sons Loren G. (Kim) Hedahl of Silverdale and Roy N. (Patricia) of Oregon City, Ore.; sister Thelma VanKeuren of Olympia; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband Verne L. Hedahl.

Services were held on July 30 at the Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove. Burial was at the Sequim View Cemetery.
