Greg Gilbert, 73, of Poulsbo, WA, passed away on February 1, 2021. Born on September 2, 1947 in Grants Pass, OR to Howard and Bea (Thornton) Gilbert, Greg went on to enlist with the US Navy and served three tours in Vietnam. He retired from the US Navy as a LCDR after 30 years. Greg later worked at the Oakland Zoo for 20 years and was a member of Elephant Managers Association. He married Susan (Trotta) Mason on February 5, 1989. Greg’s memory will live on with his wife, Susan Gilbert; two stepdaughters; and two stepsons. At Greg’s request, no formal services will be held. Arrangements are entrusted to Poulsbo Mortuary.
