Flossie J. Fairley, 90
Former Port Orchard resident Flossie June Fairley died Dec. 4, 2003 in Poulsbo. She was 90.
Fairley was born to William Harvey and Leah Alice (Salmon) Hungate in Montgomery County, Va. on May 14, 1913.
She married Walter Fairley in 1986 in Bremerton.
Fairley attended high school in Montgomery County, Va.
She worked as a waitress and night manager at VIP’s Restaurant until her retirement in 1983.
She enjoyed reading and sewing.
She is survived by her husband Walter Fairley of Bremerton; son Fred Wright of Virginia; daughter Lucille Riddles of Independence, Kan.; sisters Margie of Texas and Carol of Hansville; five grandchildren and many great, grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.
There will be no formal service held. Lewis Funeral Chapel of Bremerton is taking care of the arrangements.

Thelma Aske, 88
Thelma Aske of Poulsbo died Dec. 6, 2003 in Bremerton. She was 88.
Aske was born to Jens and Bertha (Vegge) Brievig in Poulsbo on Dec. 23, 1914.
She married Roald R. Aske Sr. on Aug. 7, 1935 in Poulsbo.
Aske attended North Kitsap High School. She was a homemaker.
Aske enjoyed attending First Lutheran Church, bird watching, gardening and helping run the family business, Brievig’s Chicken Hatchery. She was proud of being born, raised and having lived on the same farm for 88 years.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Poulsbo.
Aske is survived by her son Larry Aske of Port Ludlow; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Aske was preceded in death by her husband Roald R. Aske, Sr. and her son, Roald R. Aske, Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Dec. 12 at the First Lutheran Church in Poulsbo. Burial will take place at First Lutheran Cemetery.
