Dorothy J. Carroll, 94

Longtime Alaska and Washington resident Dorothy J. Carroll died June 16, 2004 in Poulsbo. She was 94.

Carroll was born to Archie and Lottie M. (Loper) McCorison in Mellen, Wis. on July 17, 1909.

She married C.A. “Pat” Carroll on Feb. 4, 1932.

Carroll graduated from beauty college in Duluth, Minn.

She worked for the State of Alaska and also in customer service for a drycleaner in Edmonds for 15 years.

Carroll enjoyed crossword puzzles, crochet and her family. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Poulsbo.

Carroll is survived by her son Curtis A. (Susan Schwab) Carroll of Annapolis, Md.; daughters Pat A. (Gordon) Stenman of Poulsbo and Charlotte M. (Steve Irwin) Carroll of Juneau, Alaska; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband C.A. “Pat” Carroll, parents Archie and Lottie (Loper) McCorison and son Lawrence “Larry” P. Carroll.

A memorial service and interment took place June 20 at First Lutheran Church in Poulsbo.
