Doris M. Arenvick, 86

Poulsbo resident Doris May Arnevick died March 5, 2006 in Poulsbo. She was 86.

She was born to Forest and Laura (Huntosh) Rust in Seattle on Nov. 27, 1919.

Arnevick married Melvin Arnevick on Nov. 28, 1937 in Seattle.

She graduated from University of Washington with a bachelors degree in education in 1961.

She was an elementary school teacher for Northshore School District for 18 years.

Arnevick is survived by her son Peter Arnevick of Lacy; daughters Judee Bird of Bothell, Julee Harris of Poulsbo and Randi Leavitte of Camano Island; 19 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Arnevick, brother Clayton Rust, and sisters Vivian, Florence, Jean and Irene.

A memorial service was held March 11 at North Kitsap Baptist Church in Poulsbo.
