Dick Reed, 82, of Belfair, Washington, passed away at home on the 14th of January 2022.

Dick was born on the 20th of December 1939, in Independence, Kansas. He graduated from Irene S. Reed High School in 1958 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington.

He is survived by his loving fiancé Donna Bell, son Eugene (Ingrid), and daughters Deborah and Crystal (Christian), six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Though his career took him away from his beloved northwest, he found his way home to what he called, “one of the two or three best spots on Hood Canal.”

He lived life to the fullest through his love of dancing, watching westerns, reading Louis L’Amour, and raising Labrador Retrievers.

A celebration of life will be scheduled during the warmth of summer. Invitations will be provided.

Indeed, he was larger than life!
