Darlene Seachord died on Sept. 21 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. She was 72.

She was born on Oct. 10, 1937, to Fred T. Wellman and Inez Fulton.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lealand Seachord; her brother Fred T. Wellman Jr.; her twin sister Marlene Moran and her parents.

She is survived by her children; Terry, Tim, Tom, Tony, Ted and Tracy Seachord all of Kingston; sisters Rose E. Purser, Betty George and Inez Rogers; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sept. 27 in the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribal Gym. A reception will follow. Memorial contributions can be made to The Port Gamble Tribe – Elders Activities Fund
