Connie Louise Wilson

August 25, 1946 - October 26, 2021

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Connie Louise (Arness) Wilson who left this earth to be with the Lord at the age of 75. Connie was born in Seattle, WA on August 25, 1946 to Simon (“Sam”) Kristian Arness and Grace Gertrude Arness (Rasmusson). She was the youngest sister to Nancy Ann (Arness) McCullough and Grace Eileen (Arness) Singer. Connie was formerly married to Charles Wilson and they had two daughters, Tanya Wilson and Teri (Wilson) Fichera.

Connie graduated from Hoopa High School in Hoopa, CA with the close-knit Class of 1964, from Humboldt State University (Bachelor of Arts), Arcata, CA in 1968, and National University (Master of Business Administration), San Diego, CA in 1993. Connie raised her daughters in Hoopa, Willow Creek and Brawley, CA. She was then a resident of Laguna Niguel, CA for the

past twenty five years, and prior to her retirement, she worked for Santiago Canyon College for approximately eighteen years – where she worked passionately as a department coordinator and a professor to help students advance their computer skills and their employment pathways.

Connie was a dedicated and loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and teacher to so many over the years. She was a devout Christian and member of and volunteer at Maranatha Chapel in San Diego. She was very active and loved to travel and be

anywhere near the water. She loved being with friends and family and enjoyed helping others.

She loved to laugh and tell stories. And, above all, Connie (also known as Gran) loved her grandchildren to pieces.

Connie passed away unexpectedly of heart failure. Connie is survived by her sister, Nancy McCullough; her daughters, Tanya Wilson (Richard) and Teri Fichera (Dante); her grandchildren, Tucker, Brinn and Kodi Wilson and Dante Jr. and Dylan Fichera; her nieces and nephews, Cheri Gravalos (Tom), Jean Singer, David Singer (Tracey); her 101-year old aunt Helen Lawson, in addition to many cousins and additional relatives. Those preceding Connie in death: her parents, Sam and Grace Arness; her sister, Eileen Singer; her niece Tami (Ludwig) Johnson.

Friends and family are invited to a graveside memorial and burial service for Connie to be held at 1:30pm on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the Kingston Cemetery, located off West Kingston Road (and Norman Rd) in Kingston, WA. There will be a Celebration of Life fellowship following the service, which will be held at Village Green Community Center, 26159 Dulay Road NE, Kingston, WA 98346.
