Cheryl. L. Schomer, 64

Cheryl L. Schomer of Kingston died Nov. 17, 2003 in Bremerton. She was 64.

Schomer was born to George and Dora G. (Williams) Sawyer in Riverside Calif., on Aug. 31, 1939.

Schomer’s first husband was Harold Gray. She married her second husband Larry Schomer in 1984 in Osmond, Neb.

Schomer attended Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nev.

She was a housewife, mom and family caregiver.

Schomer enjoyed gardening, ceramics, puzzles, crocheting, floral arrangements and bird watching. She was a member of the Poulsbo Sons of Norway and the Roadrunners Camping Club in Las Vegas. She was a Roman Catholic.

Schomer is survived by her sons Joey D. Grace and Terry L. Grace, both of Kingston; daughter Deanna L. Matthews of Kingston; brother Terry D. Sawyer of Jonesboro, Ga.; mother Dora G. (Williams) McCallum of Kingston; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Schomer was preceded in death by husbands Larry Schomer and Harold Gray, sister Linda Parker and niece Cheryl Parker.

A visitation was held Nov. 21 at the Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove Memorial Park in Poulsbo. Two other visitations will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 22 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 24, both at Stone Chapel.

A funeral will take place at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 22 at The Stone Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 24 at Cherry Grove Memorial Park. Interment will take place at Cherry Grove Memorial park.
