Charles Robert Gehrcke III passed away peacefully on January 26th, 2020. He was 83. Born January 10th, 1937 to Charles and Edna Gehrcke in Saginaw, Michigan. Charlie met and fell in love with Mary Lee Snyder; they were married and moved to Washington State in 1973 where they settled in Kingston, Washington.

There they created a life together and raised their 4 children. Charlie worked for many years at the Hansville Landfill and operating a secondhand store. He also spent years lending a helping hand to his and Mary’s friend Vi at the foodbank.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Edna, and his beloved wife, Mary. He is survived by his son David Gehrcke (Renae) of Bellingham, daughters Kathy Rahlstin (Chris) of Lakewood, Nancy Victorino (Dwayne) of Poulsbo and Christi Reed (John) of Arkansas, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held on Saturday, February 22nd at 1 p.m. at Hostmark Apartments (Community Room), 703 NE Hostmark St, Poulsbo, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Charlie’s name to the Kingston food bank.
