Barbara Jean Lemman

Feb. 18, 1951 – Dec. 1, 2018

arbara Jean Lemman was born on February 18th, 1951 to parents Marilyn and Robert L. Lemman, in Seattle, WA. She graduated from Lake Oswego High school and received her Bachelors Degree in Education from UCSB. She pursued a rewarding career teaching and later returned home to Seattle to work for her family’s company North Coast Electric. Barb was married to John S. Carver III from 1980 to 2012 with whom she raised son Robby Carver, now 36 and daughter Callie Carver, 32. Barb spent the majority of her adult life on Bainbridge Island, WA where she was an active member of the Wing Point Golf community. After being diagnosed with lung cancer, the last few years of Barb’s life were difficult. She had a strong spirit, despite her failing health, and continued enjoying life to the fullest. Barb was the foundation of her happy family; a loving mother, attentive daughter and proud grandmother. Although she never remarried, Barb found fulfilling companionship in her relationship with Ernest Panasci. She enjoyed entertaining and socializing with close friends, golfing, gardening and traveling. While vacationing in Italy, Barb’s health declined quickly due to complications with her weakened immune system. Although she was able to return home, Barb passed away peacefully on December 1st, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her mother Marilyn, brothers Pete and Dean Lemman, daughter Callie, son Robby, daughter-in-law Caiti, and her two beautiful grandchildren Scottie and Blake. Barb truly cherished every moment with her family; her love, generosity and bright smile will be missed but not forgotten. Memorial services to celebrate Barb’s life will be held January 13th, 2019 11:30am at the Wing Point Golf & Country Club on Bainbridge Island.
