Ann E. Settle

Ann E. Settle, 87

Poulsbo resident Ann E. Settle died Feb. 10, 2006 in Poulsbo. She was 87.

Settle was born to Thomas and Felicia M. Kepner in Reno, Nevada on March 25, 1918.

She married Wesley L. Settle June 3, 1938 in Salinas, Calif.

Settle graduated from Reno High School in 1936 and Hartnell Junior College in Salinas, Calif. in 1938.

She was a piano and voice teacher and taught in the North Kitsap area for many years.

She also played and sang at funerals and many civic events and was a housewife and mother.

She was a member of Priscilla Chapter No. 96, Order of the Eastern Star of Port Gamble, PEO and Daughters of the Nile.

She also attended both the North Kitsap Baptist Church and Vinland Lutheran Church.

Settle is survived by sons Tom (Billie Jo) Settle and Glenn Settle of Poulsbo; daughter Sylvia (Al) Johnson of Tillamook, Ore.; 10 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Settle was preceded in death by her husband Wesley Settle, a brother and two sisters.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Feb. 15 at Vinland Lutheran Church in Poulsbo.
