A long-awaited new sailing schedule on the Washington State Ferries Triangle route between Fauntleroy, Vashon and Southworth will begin on Sunday, March 31, a WSF spokeswoman said.
“The new weekday schedule accommodates a bigger ferry to add capacity to the growing route,” said Hadley Rodero, strategic communications manager with the Ferries Division.
“It includes more loading and unloading time built into the schedule to improve reliability and allow time to fill the boats.”
The revised weekend schedule, she added, “includes a few minor adjustments to sailing times in order to align with crew relief schedules and provide weekday/weekend and evening/late-night consistency for our customers.”
