WSDOT to conduct six-hour night closures on Hood Canal Bridge for rest of week

Travelers planning to take the Hood Canal Bridge between Tuesday, Nov. 27 and Saturday, Dec. 2 should avoid the bridge between the hours of 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. the following day. Construction is also expected to last until 7 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2.

According to WSDOT, the nature of the tests being performed and the timeframes under which the department must perform them require that the bridge remain closed for the full six hours, without intermittent openings for traffic.

Travelers can get information about the Hood Canal Bridge via WSDOT email alerts and text messages. The service will start with a text to 468311 with the words “wsdot hood.”
