West Sound Ecosystem Fair is Oct. 12

Free event is at South Kitsap High School

PORT ORCHARD — Property owners, families and community members are welcome to attend the 2019 West Sound Ecosystem Fair Saturday, Oct. 12, at South Kitsap High School.

The free event will run from 1 to 5 p.m. at the high school.

Sponsors plan to have interactive environmental education activities on hand for all ages, including booths with information provided by West Sound recovery and conservation organizations on the challenges the community faces in protecting the ecosystem.

Visitors also can learn about programs that support property owners taking conservation actions on private land.
