Two-hour late start for North Kitsap schools Dec. 1

North Kitsap School District schools will start two hours late on Dec. 1, according to emergency information sent out by the school district. There will be no morning kindergarten and no out-of-district transportation.

POULSBO — North Kitsap School District schools will start two hours late on Dec. 1, according to emergency information sent out by the school district.

There will be no morning kindergarten and no out-of-district transportation.

For Dec. 1, the National Weather Service is forecasting mostly sunny skies with a high near 38 and north wind of 3 to 6 mph. At night, expect partly cloudy skies, with a low around 28 and calm wind.

It starts to warm up heading into the middle of the week. On Dec. 2, the National Weather Service forecasts sunny skies, high near 41, with calm wind becoming north 5 to 7 mph in the morning. In the evening, it will be partly cloudy with a low around 31 and north wind 11 to 13 mph.

On Dec. 3, there’s a 20 percent chance of rain after 10 a.m. Otherwise, it will be partly sunny with a high near 44. Overnight low will be 34 with a 30 percent chance of rain.
