“POULSBO – The waters of Liberty Bay will be dotted with plenty of boats this week as the sixth annual West Marine Trawler Fest gets underway. Nearly 100 crafts will be on display and open for demonstration today at noon through Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Port of Poulsbo Marina. For the next four days locals and visitors can experience the trawlers on an up close and personal basis and can also get involved in numerous programs and seminars related to the event. If you’re just getting into cruising under power, there is no better place to start than Poulsbo, explained representative George Kolesnikovs. You’ll be able to inspect boats, large and small, in the water, visit shoreside displays and demonstrations, learn a great deal from the seminars and talk to people who are already enjoying the wonderful trawler lifestyle. Registration for seminars and meals is available at the Sons of Norway on Wednesday from 12-5 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. “
