Toys for Tots drop-off at Edward Jones locations

Marines’ program is taking unwrapped gifts

PORT ORCHARD — The Marine Corps’ venerable Toys for Tots program, which collects new children’s toys to be given as Christmas presents, has a drop-off location in Port Orchard: the Edward Jones office of financial advisor Matt Flores.

Local residents can help needy children by bringing in a new, unwrapped toy to the Port Orchard Edward Jones office at 1740 Pottery Ave., Suite 209, during regular business hours through Dec. 11.

“With the holiday season around the corner, we are all getting ready for the festivities,” Flores said. “And as this is the season of giving, now is a great time to remember the less fortunate in our community.”

Flores also has invited the public to attend a holiday open house from 2-6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, at his Port Orchard office.

If you’re unable to visit the Port Orchard office, Edward Jones officials said all of its Kitsap County branches are accepting toy donations at their locations.
