The Road Report: June 4-8

These Kitsap County roadways are under repair or construction.

PORT ORCHARD — The following roadways in Kitsap County will be under repair or construction in the coming week, as reported by the county’s Public Works Department:

SOUTH KITSAP

General maintenance with minimal delays expected this week.

CENTRAL KITSAP

Northeast John Carlson Road (between Concord Lane Northeast and SR 303)

A contractor is working here on a sanitary sewer piping replacement project. This road is closed to through traffic 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, June 4-8. Alternate routes are recommended. Only local and emergency vehicle access is available during working hours. Flaggers will direct motorists through the work area as needed. Work will continue through April 2019.

Northeast Fairgrounds Road (between Beacon Place Northeast and SR 303 and between Colony and SR 303)

A contractor is working here on a sanitary sewer piping replacement project. This road is closed to through traffic 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, June 4-8. Alternate routes are recommended. Only local and emergency vehicle access is available during working hours. Flaggers will direct motorists through the work area as needed. Work here continues through March 2019.

Northeast Fairgrounds Road (at the intersection with Central Valley Road Northwest)

Nordland Construction Crews are working on widening the intersection for the addition of sidewalks, left turn lanes, and a new traffic signal and illumination system. Traffic is controlled with a four-way stop until construction of the new signal is complete. Expect moderate delays of 5-10 minutes in the immediate vicinity of the work.

NORTH KITSAP

General maintenance with minimal delays expected this week.

Washington Boulevard Northeast-East 4th Street Northeast (between Ohio Avenue Northeast and the end of county maintenance on Washington Boulevard)

A weight limit of 10,000 pounds is in place at this location.
