Selected Kitsap County roadways will be impacted by closures Sept. 24-28.

PORT ORCHARD — A number of Kitsap County roads will be impacted by construction, maintenance and repair work during the coming week (Sept. 24-28).

General road maintenance includes vegetation management, ditch work and other maintenance work on or near travel lanes. Delays for these projects are usually a minute or two, and the crews move work sites frequently. These activities are not listed as part of the county’s road report but are noted as happening throughout the area.

South Kitsap

General maintenance work will occur on these roads during the week (expect delays of about 5 minutes in the vicinity of this work):

  • California Avenue Southeast (between Mile Hill Road Southeast and Chester Road Southeast) — Monday, Sept. 24 and Tuesday, Sept. 25.
  • Grandridge Drive Southeast — Monday, Sept. 24-Friday, Sept. 28.
  • Lakeview Drive Southeast — Monday, Sept. 24-Friday, Sept. 28.
  • Lidstrom Hill Road Southeast — Monday, Sept. 24-Friday, Sept. 28.
  • Sidney Road Southwest (between Lider Road Southwest and Black Jack Road Southwest ) — Monday, Sept. 24-Wednesday, Sept. 26.
  • Hinkley Road Southeast — Wednesday, Sept. 26-Friday, Sept. 28.
  • Crews are completing a drainage and sidewalk project on Tidepool Place East (at the intersection with East Sandbar Court) Wednesday, Sept. 26 through Friday, Sept. 28. Expect moderate delays between 5 and 10 minutes.
  • Shoulder and realignment work starts on Carney Lake Road Southwest (between Southwest Alta Vista Drive and Southwest Grace Street) this week. Expect significant delays longer than 10 minutes; some detours are expected.

Central Kitsap

General maintenance work will occur on these roads during the week. Expect delays of about 5 minutes in the vicinity of this work.

  • Fairgrounds Road Northwest — Monday, Sept. 24-Friday, Sept. 28.
  • Pine Avenue Northeast — Monday, Sept. 24-Friday, Sept. 28.
  • Northwest Linden Lane — Monday, Sept. 24-Friday, Sept. 28.
  • Northwest Breeze Way — Monday, Sept. 24-Friday, Sept. 28.
  • Lake Tahuyeh Road Northwest — Monday, Sept. 24-Friday, Sept. 28.
  • Gold Creek Road West — Monday, Sept. 24-Friday, Sept. 28.
  • Ogle Road (between Brownsville Highway Northeast and the north end of the Port Of Brownsville parking lot) will be closed to general vehicular access from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22. The closure is part of the Brownsville Appreciation Day 2018 festivities.
  • Northeast Electric continues work on a project to install a new traffic signal at the intersection of Northwest Newberry Hill Road and Tieton Place Northwest. Expect short delays in the immediate vicinity of the work.
  • Expect moderate delays of 5-10 minutes on Ridgetop Boulevard Northwest (between SR 303 and Quail Run Drive) as work continues on an improvement project there. Flaggers will direct motorists through the work area.
  • Construction continues on Silverdale Way Northwest from 600 feet south of Byron to Anderson Hill Road. Expect intermittent delays in the immediate vicinity of the work. Flaggers will direct motorists through the work area. All businesses are open during construction but expect some delay. Plan ahead or find alternate routes to minimize inconveniences.

North Kitsap

General maintenance work will occur on these roads during the week. Expect delays of about 5 minutes in the vicinity of this work.

  • Port Gamble Road Northeast (between Bond Road Northeast to Highway 104) — Monday, Sept. 24-Tuesday, Sept. 25 and Thursday, Sept. 27-Friday, Sept. 28.
  • Washington Avenue Northeast (between Grandview Boulevard Northeast to the Keyport Boat Launch), and from SR 308 to Northeast Fir Street is closed Saturday, Sept. 15 for Keyport Fest 2018.
  • Work on the stormwater conveyance system is causing short delays on Silverdale Way Northwest between Misty Ridge and Ridgetop Boulevard. Short delays of less than 5 minutes are expected. Work continues through April 2019.
  • Shoulder widening work continues on Hansville Road Northeast between 360th and Northeast Gust Halvor. Expect moderate delays of 5-10 minutes.
  • Washington Boulevard Northeast has a 10,000-pound weight limit in effect. Portions of the road surface are gravel.
