Smoke vents inside Kitsap Bank on Bay Street; no fire or damage reported

Employees from Kitsap Bank's Bay Street branch wait outside for the ok to reenter the building after smoke filled the interior. South Kitsap Fire and Rescue and Port Orchard Police responded to the scene. No damage was reported. Work being done on the building's HVAC system caused smoke to emanate from the venting.

Kitsap Fire and Rescue and Port Orchard Police responded to a report of smoke inside the Kitsap Bank building on Bay Street.

A firefighter at the scene reported there was no fire inside the building and the smoke had dissipated. An HVAC technician had been working on the ventilation system when smoke entered the interior through the vents. There was no damage or injuries reported.
