SKSD honors its outstanding community partners

PORT ORCHARD — South Kitsap School District has released its annual list of local businesses, service groups, individuals and organizations it has honored as part of its Celebration of Partnerships program.

The district’s superintendent, board of directors and school administrators thanked the honorees at an event May 18 at Marcus Whitman Junior High.

“The event is a chance to say thank you to those who go above and beyond to ‘make a difference,’” school superintendent Karst Brandsma said in a news release.

“When I joined the community last year, I was immediately impressed with how involved our partners are in our schools,” Brandsma said.

The following individuals, businesses, service groups and organizations were honored:
