SKSD helping to ‘Stuff the Bus’ on May 6

PORT ORCHARD — South Kitsap School District once again is hosting the Stuff the Bus food drive to benefit South Kitsap Helpline on Saturday, May 6.

The event will be at three locations this year, according to Amy Miller, district spokeswoman. The Safeway store on Bethel Avenue, and the Albertsons stores on Olney and Sidney will participate in the activity.

Volunteers will be on hand to accept donations between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

“We are proud to support Helpline,” said district transportation director Jay Rosapepe. “They do so much for needy families in our community, including many of our students.”

Contact the district’s transportation department at 360-874-7093 for more information.
