Silverdale small business owner recognized for volunteerism

Local agency owner Kevin Bradley’s commitment to helping others and serving in the community has culminated in a total of $6,000 in grant money from the Allstate Foundation as part of the Helping Hands in the Community program.

SILVERDALE — Local agency owner Kevin Bradley’s commitment to helping others and serving in the community has culminated in a total of $6,000 in grant money from the Allstate Foundation as part of the Helping Hands in the Community program.

Over the course of two years, the Allstate Foundation has awarded $2,000 each to the American Cancer Society; Thriller Track and Field Club; and Coffee Oasis, where he volunteers.

“As a small business owner in Silverdale, I have enjoyed volunteering and giving back to my community,” Bradley said. “The Allstate Foundation celebrates the spirit of service and commitment to the community where I live and work. I’m grateful to give money back to help make our hometown a stronger, safer place.”

Allstate has a proud history of helping local agencies support Washington communities, promoting volunteerism and providing financial resources to enable local organizations to help others. The Allstate Foundation has given more than $300 million in financial contributions to communities around the country and donated $110,000 to nonprofits in Washington in 2015.

The Allstate Foundation awards more than $2 million every year to nonprofit organizations across the country in honor of dedicated insurance agency owners who give back to their communities through outstanding volunteerism. To be eligible for nomination, Allstate Independent Agency owners must volunteer, mentor or lead a nonprofit of their choice.
