Shelter-in-place drill at NBK-Bremerton March 14

BREMERTON — A shelter-in-place drill will be conducted from about 9:20-9:30 a.m. March 14 on Naval Base Kitsap — Bremerton.

The drill will include the securing of all inbound gates and turnstiles on NBK-Bremerton. Outbound gates will remain operational for base personnel and visitors.

People in the vicinity of NBK-Bremerton may hear announcements from the base alert system during the drill.

The Navy routinely conducts these types of security exercises, which ensures readiness and verifies response procedures.
