Rep. Kilmer to lead educator roundtable May 30 at Mullenix Ridge Elementary

PORT ORCHARD — U.S. Rep. Derek Kilmer will visit South Kitsap School District for an educator roundtable at 3:15 p.m., May 30 at Mullenix Ridge Elementary in Port Orchard.

The roundtable will focus on educational issues that impact schools, including federal and state budget proposals. Kilmer will be joined by South Kitsap School District Superintendent Karst Brandsma; Sara Hatfield, career and technical education director; Sherry Keenan of the South Kitsap Education Association; Martha Patterson, National Education Association board member; and South Kitsap para professionals.
