Pedestrian hit by car on Highway 305

A Bainbridge Island woman was hit by a car while walking along Highway 305 near Johnson Way NE in Poulsbo Wednesday night.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Sarah K. Dean, 33, of Bainbridge was walking down the highway when she was struck by a passing vehicle.

The woman was hit while she was walking southbound in the northbound lane of Highway 305, the State Patrol said, between Noll Road and Johnson Way NE in Poulsbo, just after 7:30 p.m. Dec. 28.

The driver of the vehicle did not stop.

Dean was injured and airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment.

The incident remains under investigation and the State Patrol is looking for witnesses. Anyone with information on the accident can call the State Patrol at 360-340-1030.
