“Kitsap County’s Department of Emergency Management is still trying to count the cost of damages from last week’s Ash Wednesday earthquake, said the agency’s director, Phyliss Mann. There are no monetary figures yet, we haven’t even gotten that far. Probably for public and government buildings it will be close to $1 million, Mann said. “
“Though 50 years old, the Kitsap Conservation District is considered a breath of fresh air among the hundreds of farmers and ranchers currently living in Kitsap County. Especially since at least a few say they’ve felt stifled and overwhelmed by an ever-increasing number of county land-use regulations that are, in large part, a direct response to the federal Endangered Species Act (ESA) guidelines or water-quality concerns as a whole. “
“POULSBO – If you air it, will they watch? This is exactly what Poulsbo City Council will be finding out later this year as their meetings enter local homes via Bremerton Kitsap Access Television. Maizie, like most puppies, takes it all in stride and finds some other adorable puppy way to entertain herself and her new owners. “
