No new COVID-19 cases from KPHD on Wednesday afternoon

Kitsap Public Health District had no new cases to report on Wednesday afternoon, keeping Kitsap’s total positive case count at 141.

A total of 2,849 residents have tested negative — the positive test rate is 5 percent.

Of the 141 cases, 39 have been reported in Bremerton, 36 in South Kitsap, 29 in North Kitsap, 26 in Central Kitsap and 11 on Bainbridge Island. Two deaths have been reported.

Please keep in mind that cases are occasionally added or removed retroactively at both the county and state levels. For example, the state Department of Health currently has 122 confirmed positive cases and one death not assigned to any county in Washington. The DOH also regularly cleans the data to maintain accuracy — cases are removed from the statewide and local total if it is determined the person who tested positive or negative is a resident of another state.
