No new cases of COVID-19 in Kitsap County Wednesday

Countywide confirmed cases stand at 162, positive test rate is about two percent

No new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed by the Kitsap Public Health District in its Wednesday update, leaving the countywide total at 162 cases.

One case of COVID-19 was removed from the Kitsap County tally last Friday by the Kitsap Public Health District, after officials discovered that a case had been assigned to someone who lived outside of the county.

A total of 6,401 residents have tested negative — of those tested, the positive test rate has dropped to about 2 percent.

Of the 162 cases, 51 have been reported in Bremerton, 39 in South Kitsap, 33 in North Kitsap, 28 in Central Kitsap and 11 on Bainbridge Island. Two coronavirus-related deaths have been confirmed by Kitsap Public Health District as well.

The age breakdown for confirmed cases is as follows:

0 – 19: 7

20 – 29: 30

30 – 39: 19

40 – 49: 27

50 – 59: 41

60 – 69: 19

70 – 79: 13

80 and older: 6
