WSF postpones route changes

SEATTLE — Because of an influx of passenger feedback, Washington State Ferry officials postponed changing the Kingston/Edmonds route schedule.

“Over the past two weeks, ferries received over 80 comments from customers on the proposed schedule that was handed out to our ridership, and frankly, we need more time to make sure we address your concerns and develop a schedule that works for as many people as possible,” Harris said.

Changes to the schedule will not be implemented until later next year.

WSF officials proposed schedule changes earlier this month to better on time performance for the crews.

Kingston hosts Ladies Night

KINGSTON — Shops situated along the two blocks of Kingston’s downtown core will host their own version of ladies night. Tomorrow, from 5 to 8 p.m. the quaint business avenue is set to stay open an additional three hours for ladies to gain a head start on holiday shopping, grab a glass of wine at one of the restaurants, collect goodie bags and enjoy pre-holiday festivities.

Susan Rodgers, owner of Kingston’s Cleo’s Landing, hopes the event helps build community relationships and inspires Kitsap residents to buy locally and support small businesses.
